Sex-Based Differences in Bronchial Asthma: What Are the Mechanisms behind Them?

چکیده
Sex-based differences in bronchial asthma can already be observed childhood, at which time allergic atopic is more frequently found boys than girls. In adulthood, higher prevalence of reported women, especially for the severe neutrophilic subtype associated with obesity, responds poorly to corticosteroids. seem attributable changing levels estrogens, progesterone, and testosterone, may exert mainly pro-inflammatory (estrogens, progesterone) or anti-inflammatory effects (testosterone). Sex steroids differentially influence lung immune responses, airway reactivity, pulmonary circulation thereby contribute susceptibility females serious complications resulting from inflammatory diseases compared males. However, other factors, such as anatomical physiological lungs, genetically conditioned obesity lifestyle, smoking, exposure environmental occupational chronic stress, etc., also sex-based asthma. Elucidation mechanisms behind these appropriate personalized therapy For review, articles English language PubMed database were used.

Ethiopathogenic mechanisms of bronchial asthma
Asthma is the most frequent respiratory process both in pediatric and adult ages, but when sharing symptoms with other processes, sometimes there are certain diagnostic doubts and especially therapeutic. The distinction is the bronchiospasm crisis due to the existence of bronchial hyperresponsiveness, the origin of which may be genetic, which causes the onset of asthma to be at an early age, or...

36 A very complex mechanisms depending on inflammatory mediators are the background of allergic inflammation in airways. This is manifested by several phenomena like transudate, mucosal edema, increased secretion of mucus, changed viscosity of discharge, impairment of cilliary transportation and contraction of smooth muscles of bronchi. The above symptoms and shedding of respiratory epithelium ...
متن کاملHuman platelet antigen polymorphism in bronchial asthma
Background: Asthma is recognized as a common cause of disability, of great economic cost, and of preventable deaths. In this study we aimed to test our hypothesis to evaluate the relationship between the Human Platelet Antigen-1(HPA-1) polymorphism and bronchial asthma and its severity, which would suggest genetic variances that may be responsible for expression or activation of these receptors...
